Gwyneth Paltrow Likes Filming 'Glee' More Than Her Movies

Gwyneth Paltrow has appeared twice as substitute teacher Holly Holliday on Glee, and she enjoyed the "frantic" pace of the show compared to the relatively relaxed pace of movie sets.

Gwyneth said in an interview with this week’s new! magazine: "I had such a good time. I went out to California for about 10 days and took the kids with me. I brought them out of school. I just loved doing that show.

"When I was first asked to do the show I had never seen it. I had heard it was a big hit, so I said, 'Yeah!' But it was tough. I’m used to a slower pace of shooting on a movie and this was really frantic. But I think I preferred it, actually."

Glee creator Ryan Murphy recently admitted having Gwyneth guest star on the show was a "dream come true," and they are already planning a third appearance by the Oscar winner.

"King's Speech" and tradition triumph at Oscars

Hollywood found a new group of kings lording over movies on Monday, the makers of Oscar winner "The King's Speech," whose heartwarming tale triumphed over a flashy story of new technology in "The Social Network."

Nelly Furtado to give away $1 million Gaddafi fee

Singer Nelly Furtado said on Monday that she will give away $1 million she received to perform in Italy for the family of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Gaddafi has been condemned for using violence to quell a popular uprising, with the death toll from nearly two weeks of fighting estimated by diplomats at about 2,000.
Furtado, a Canadian singer whose hits include "I'm Like a Bird" and "Promiscuous," used the website Twitter to disclose her plans for the $1 million.

Buxom actress Jane Russell dead at 89

"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" movie star Jane Russell, who became a controversial Hollywood sex symbol, died on Monday at the age of 89, her family said.
Russell, best known as the buxom star of 1940s and 1950s movie, died of respiratory failure at her home in Santa Maria, central California, her family said.
"Jane Russell passed away peacefully today at home surrounded by her children at her bedside," Russell's son Buck Waterfield said in a statement.

Lindsay Lohan to Play an Investigator in Escaping the Game

Following her tryst with cocaine and the law, Lindsay Lohan is all set to sign up for a new project that is being looked at as her comeback flick. The Freak Friday star has signed up for a movie that will depict stalwarts who cannot handle newly acquired fame.
Talking about the movie, Director Nathan Folks, while talking to RadarOnline, said that the movie has been titled as Escaping the Game. It is about an investigator, who is looking into celebrity deaths and disappearances in suspicious situations. The investigator will be played by none other than the singer/actress Lindsay Lohan.
Meanwhile, Lindsay has pledged to stay clean for the time being, as it seems that the court, jail and rehab have been a bucket load for her. She has already met with her future co-star in the movie, Chris Zylka.
Meanwhile, Nathan has said that he trusted on her and knew she will be okay during the movie. Though, he did lament that he’d better hire someone to keep an eye out on her to ensure that his project does not meet a roadblock.

Britney Spears slams pregnancy rumours

Britney Spears has rubbished reports claiming that she is pregnant, branding the rumours on her official website as “bulls**t.”
Hollywood Life had alleged that the Hold It Against Me singer was expecting a baby with her boyfriend Jason Trawick, after Britney was spotted with looking “bloated.”
The website claimed that Spears’ stomach “looked decidedly UN-flat”, then posed the question: “Is it a baby bump? Or just a bit of a bloat.” They also suggested that the Circus hitmaker and Trawick would “make cute babies together.”
Britney has since slammed the reports, claiming she is not pregnant by publishing Hollywood Life’s article with a massive “bulls**t” sign over her suspected bloated stomach…that clears that up then!
Meanwhile, Britney is said to have a made a cool $500,000 from various product placements in her new HIAM video. I guess you could easily spot that Sony image displayed in the video, that was not mistakenly left out there.

Bridget Moynahan Maintains a 'Loving' Family for Son with Ex Tom Brady

They've had rocky patches, but Bridget Moynahan says she and Tom Brady – along with his wife Gisele Bündchen – have managed to create a stable family for their son, 3½-year-old John Edward Thomas.
"I never made a comment about Gisele or Tom publicly," Moynahan, who graces the March cover of More, tells the magazine.
"I have a relationship with these people on a daily basis. I'm raising a child, and it's public. The media creates these dramas, and that's not what's happening in my life."
And, she adds, that the blended family is going well. "My son has two loving parents and an extended family, whether it's cousins or stepmothers or boyfriends. My son is surrounded by love."
Still, Moynahan, who turns 40 in April, admits being a single mom has been tough, starting with the birth itself in August 2007.
"[Tom] was not in the [delivery] room," says Moynahan, who had already split from Brady when she discovered she was pregnant at two months along after experiencing irregular periods. "He was there on that day and came in afterwards. He certainly wasn't holding my hand while I pushed."

Relying on her parents and friends for support, she recalls "hyperventilating" with anxiety after giving birth: "Every time my dad mentioned he had to go [home to Massachusetts], I'd start crying."

Ashlee Simpson on the Hunt!

 


Ashlee Simpson was out this week hunting for houses in the Beverly Hills area.
According to USMagazine.com, Simpson has been living with her parents’ place since her recent split from Pete Wentz. Nothing makes you want to go house-hunting more than living with your parents. Especially when your dad is Joe Simpson.
A real estate broker drove Ashlee around on Wednesday morning.
“Ashlee didn't get out of the car and was quiet and subdued,” the source told US. “At one point, she was going to get out of the car but when she saw photographers she decided to stay in the car and then went home."
Simpson is looking for houses in the $3 to $4 million dollar range. So it looks like Jennifer Aniston’s $42 million pad is not an option.

Are things getting back on track for Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson?
The onetime couple were spotted leaving the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel together early Friday morning in Ronson's black Porsche, ending up at her place.
"Watching grey's anatomy – my fav show," the DJ, 33, wrote around 5 a.m. "@lindsaylohan sleeping next 2 me – should i wake her up to let her know her mom is going on GMA?"
But Lohan wants everyone to know her late night outing did not include clubbing at Teddy's, which is attached to the hotel.
"I was just at roosevelt to meet Samantha and say happy birthday to a friend," the recently rehabbed actress Tweeted Friday afternoon.

Just last month, Lohan, 24, and Ronson dined at Joe's in Venice, Calif., where a source says they "shared a friendly dinner."

Jennifer Aniston's Beverly Hills Home Goes on Sale for $42 Million

Jennifer Aniston is ready to "simplify" her life – and is getting started by quietly putting her Beverly Hills home on sale to the tune of $42 million.
The actress, who just celebrated her 42nd birthday, told PEOPLE recently that despite dedicating more than two years of her life to renovating the Zen-influenced retreat, she feels the need to let go of it.
But window shoppers beware: The home will not be listed officially and only an elite group of realtors will have access to the property, real estate sources tell PEOPLE. The sources confirmed the selling price.
The Just Go with It star bought the home she calls "Ohana" – a reference to the Hawaiian idea of extended family – for $13.5 million in 2006. She and her team tore it apart and spent more than two years renovating it, and she moved in just before her 40th birthday in 2009.
Built on a hillside in 1970 with sweeping views of Los Angeles, Aniston told Architectural Digest the single-level home feels "like a hug" and "vibrates with the love that created it."
So why does she want to move? Her epiphany came, she says, in a moment where she woke up in London and thought, "my life felt really cluttered."
"I couldn't sleep and I sort of had one of those moments where I went, I really need to simplify," PEOPLE's recent cover girl said. "My life needs to be simplified and clear out the clutter. And along with that thought came, 'I should sell my house.' ... I had the realization that this is just too much for me. I'm not this person."
Though Aniston has another smaller home in L.A., she may end up living far, far away from Beverly Hills. "I don't know, I'm looking for little spots in New York City to go back home," she said. "There are all sorts of things that are going to be happening in the near future so I'm excited. Why Is Courteney Cox a 'Cougar' with a Cane?

The Cougar Town star was spotted walking around the set of her ABC show Thursday with the help of a cane.
So what's up? Cox, it turns out, has a bum knee thanks to a recent surgery.
"The minor knee surgery was planned," a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE. "[The cane] will be written into one episode of Cougar Town but will not affect the production schedule at all."
The show, which is in production but currently on hiatus, will return to ABC for a special post-Dancing with the Stars episode April 18 (9:30 p.m. ET) and will be back on at its regular timeslot (Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET) two days later.

Drew Barrymore Celebrates the Fighter with Good Food – and Friends!

What better way to celebrate the knockout (and Oscar-nominated) film The Fighter than with a star-studded party?
Drew Barrymore was on-hand to catch up with friends Eva Mendes and Hilary Swank at a Dewar's Signature-hosted bash at the Brentwood, Calif., home of  Fighter producer David Hoberman. Dressed in a sequined skirt, top and blazer, Barrymore was a bundle of energy as she made her way through the party with a male friend. She immediately ran into Terrence Howard, whom she kissed on the cheek.
Apart from all the conversation, there was food – plenty of it – catered by Animal, an L.A. hotspot. Guests enjoyed passed appetizers, including mini-lobster rolls, scallops with warm truffle vinaigrette and blistered tomatoes, lamb meatballs with mint and tomato, and much more.

Heidi Montag Upset by Andy Cohen's 'Hurtful' Comments

Andy Cohen struck a nerve when he said Thursday that he'd rather "stab ... knives into my own eyes" than have Heidi Montag join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
"Andy's tasteless remarks were hurtful and completely unnecessary," Montag tells PEOPLE. "I was simply being playful.
